Who is the producer?

Writer, filmmaker, and interior designer Caroline Cocciardi entered the world of Leonardo da Vinci in the late 1990s, after seeing the restoration of The Last Supper, in Milan. While living in Rome, in 2007, she saw an exhibition of revelatory photographs of The Mona Lisa by French engineer Pascal Cotte, in Paris. He had devised a multi-spectral camera and uncovered five centuries of secrets within Leonardo iconic painting.

Galvanized by Leonardo's masterpieces, Cocciardi spent three years in search of data about his elusive romantic life. She sought to discover why this quintessential Renaissance man, who exhaustively documented his life, was so careful to keep his personal life private.

Her research detected a pattern of minute, interlocking knots on Mona Lisa's dress and led to her original theory—Leonardo's "geometry of love." Her findings are the subject of her screenplay-in-progress for "The Knot," a feature film.

Cocciardi also produced a documentary, "Mona Lisa Revealed," in 2009. The film has been shown at the Carmel Film Festival and featured on European television, and is available on DVD.
